RIS Talks - Video Library Website

Reviving the Islamic Spirit annual convention showcases numerous inspirational talks by scholars from across the glob. Since this was a yearly event that was taking place for 12 years now (2013), they needed something like TedTalks video archiving system. This website uses a minimal interface to keep the focus on the videos while still having an organic art element featured in the wall background. The Content Management System (CMS), developed from scratch with my partner and senior developer Ikramy is the beating heart behind this interface making the task of adding videos extremely easy and attaching tags to each entry along with SEO features inside the CMS.

This is the home page for the RISTalks website which is meant to be an easy to use interface to find videos according to their categories, speakers or topics. All videos are displayed using HTML 5 player and embedded from YouTube. The modern interface is given an ornmented islamic art background using an actual wall photograph which was turned into an organic pattern
